Goodbye Yellowstone, Hello Montana

We packed up and finished touring the northwest portion of Yellowstone. What a difference the west side looks from the east and south! The west side of Yellowstone seems to be all geysers and springs and the landscape is not as much pine tree forests. I definitely do not have an appreciation for all of the geysers but I guess they are kind of neat....once you've seen one you've seen them all is my theory. We did walk around Mammoth Hot Springs and we were both a little disappointed...again, not too into the sulfur smelling springs and geysers...

We decided that we would head up to Bozeman for the night. Scott was a little tired driving today, we've been on the go non-stop for two weeks now and really haven't had a down day. We both commented that we had a fairly short drive today, but looking back over the day we were in the truck for five hours.

We got into Bozeman and decided to get a room at the Residence Inn. What a great decision; hot tub and swimming pool!! We're taking it easy today and just chilling at the hotel. We got pizza for dinner and life is good.

We'll head into town tomorrow to check out Bozeman.
